Embattled representative to run for commissioner seat | Crime

Rumors have been floating around for weeks but now it is official. Embattled state Rep. Randy Terrill will run for the District 2 Cleveland County Commissioner seat.

That seat is being vacated by George Skinner.

Terrill has been battling felony charges alleging he tried to bribe state Sen. Debbe Leftwich with an $80,000 a year job at the Oklahoma State Medical Examiner's Office.

In exchange for the job, Leftwich would drop her re-election bid in 2010.

Terrill denies the accusations and a trial date has not been set.
